On Thursday, 6th February 2025, the Nuclear Regulatory Authority (NRA) had the honour of hosting the Chief Executive of the Fair Wages and Salaries Commission (FWSC), Ing. Benjamin Arthur, along with his team on a courtesy visit to the Authority. The visit was part of FWSC’s efforts to familiarize themselves with the operations of various institutions and to gain deeper insights into their structures and processes.

The delegation was warmly received by the Director General of NRA, Ing. Nii Kwashie Allotey, with whom they had an initial meeting. This session provided an opportunity for high-level discussions on NRA’s role, functions, and contributions to national development.

Following the meeting, the FWSC team was taken on an insightful tour of NRA’s operational facilities. They were given a demonstration of specialized equipment used for regulatory oversight and safety assurance in the nuclear and radiological sectors. This hands-on experience allowed them to appreciate the technical expertise and critical functions carried out by the Authority.

The visit culminated in an engaging presentation on NRA’s mandates, activities, and organizational structure. The FWSC team showed keen interest, actively participating in discussions and asking insightful questions to deepen their understanding of NRA’s work. This interactive session facilitated knowledge sharing and strengthened collaboration between the two institutions.

The courtesy visit underscored the importance of inter-agency cooperation and opened avenues for further engagement between the Nuclear Regulatory Authority and the Fair Wages and Salaries Commission. NRA remains committed to fostering partnerships that enhance efficiency and excellence in its regulatory mandate.
